Travel, Meals, and Lodging:

Meals and Lodging:

• Meals packages are not available for this course. 5 minutes drive from the venue there are many food options. You are welcome to cook on property with a camp stove setup. Please bring your own food and beverages.

  • Rustic-style apartments: The venue offers a limited number of lodging options on the property. These accommodations are located on campus, within a 5–7 minute walk from the classroom, and consist of rustic-style apartments equipped with basic amenities such as a fridge, stove, microwave and private bathroom.

Travel Directions: 

• Venue is located just 45 minutes from Madison, Wisconsin’s Dane County Airport, and is accessible from Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis/St. Paul by car, Greyhound bus or Amtrak train.

Venue Information: The course will take place on the 120-acre property of JCC Summer Camp Chi, utilizing locations such as Perlstein Resort, the Health Center, and other designated areas for classroom sessions and practical simulations. 

Detailed logistics, entrance gate, classroom and venue maps will be emailed one month before the course start date.

Continuing Education (Learn More)

• This course is pre-approved for 48 hours of EMT Continuing Education Hours by the Commission on Accreditation of Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE).

• The Wilderness Medical Society designates this live activity for a maximum of 45.75  AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM. Each physician should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

• This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Wilderness Medical Society and National Outdoor Leadership School. The Wilderness Medical Society is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

• This course has been approved for Fellowship of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM) credits through the Wilderness Medical Society. Actual credits awarded depend on personal credit needs and history.

• All education content presented in this activity has been reviewed and validated as appropriate in keeping with sound scientific principles.

Schedule: In person classes are taught from 8 to 5 pm daily with an hour for lunch at noon. Days 3 and 4 have additional evening sessions.
