Travel, Meals, and Lodging:
  • Meals and Lodging

    • Meals and lodging packages are not available for this course.

    • 10-15 minutes drive from the venue there are many food options.

    • We recommend bringing packed lunch and/or snacks.

  • Lodging Options:

    • 5mi drive North-West to Willow Grove, PA neighborhood has lots of hotel options

    • 5 min drive East to Linconia Bensalem Township, PA has some hotel/motel options

  • Travel Directions:

    • The venue is a 22mi drive from Center City, Philadelphia, PA

Course Approval

This course is recognized by the American Camp Association to meet specific ACA standards requiring certifications. The course meets the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid training requirements. Additionally, the Wilderness First Aid course (WILDMI-554), and when included the CPR/AED course (WILDMI-134), are approved by the United States Coast Guard to meet the first aid and CPR training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(i)(1)(ii) and 46 CFR 11.201(i)(2)(iiI) for a merchant mariner credential.


This WFA Class will be taught from 8:00am to 5:00pm daily with an hour for lunch around 12pm.


Optional add on CPR provided by Midwest Outdoor Skills Training

On select NOLS WFA courses, we offer the option to add an AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Certification (Adult, Child, and Infant), valid for 2 years. If available, this session will take place after class on Day 1, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and the cost is $70.
